Courses Q2 2024

Closing date for the initial round of applications is Sunday 7 April.

Priority booking is given to ringers from our affiliated towers.  Once the closing date for applications has passed we will review all applications received and offer places to the students we feel will benefit most from the course at the current time. If demand for places is greater than the number of places we can offer  we will operate a waiting list system. If your application is unsuccessful we will let you know and add you to the waiting list unless you ask us not to.

Please read our Course Descriptions first before you apply, to make sure it is the right course for you. In applying for a course place please make sure your ringing experience and ability complies with the prerequisites for the topic you choose. We relate the skills needed for each course to Learning the Ropes levels, as this is the syllabus we use to teach new ringers at STARS - please see LtR for more information on what this means for each level. If you are overly ambitious, you will probably not get the most benefit from the course. If you are not sure whether you meet the all the prerequisites needed please talk to your Tower Captain or contact us for advice.

Equally  it is important to realise this is a course (learning a new skill, including theory) and not a targeted practice (practising something you can already do-ish, but want to be able to do better) If it's more practice you are after, attending one of our targeted practices may be more appropriate.
